I became a Soap maker due to skin allergies. Due to the allergies I have tried to only use clay's, dried flowers, herbs, spices to color my soaps. I use only Essential Oils, and make my own blends. I occasionally will uses mica's or fragrant oils if the customers prefers. I have made soap for 30 years. I use Sheep's Milk Yogurt in all my soaps. I am a retired Medical Social Worker and Adjunct Professor. I have a Master's Degree in Social Gerontoloy, the study of aging. Certified Aromatherapist. & a home herbalist. I own a shop on my property in very rural Kansas. I teach classes on Soap Making 101, Carrier Oils, Infused Oils, Butters, Waxes, Balms & Salve's. Tea Making 101, Aromatherapy 101, along with few other classes. I teach at the local Master Gardeners Organization, and some Nursing Home's and Assisted Living offering sensory programs with Aromatherapy. My passion is Education on Essential Oils and Tree Resins. I grew up with a maternal grandmother having a Still Room, using Old World Remedies from Poland/Russia & Ukraine. My Paternal grandparents were from Czech and Austrio-Hungry Empire. My hubby was career Air Force /Retired, and we traveled the world. He is deceased. I do have a very supportive Significant other, Greg who encourages my soap making.
